台中國家歌劇院近來被擠得水洩不通，假日還會擠進一大堆台灣團客，在裡頭大聲喧嘩，讓許多民眾不堪其擾，直呼根本是菜市場。原來，自從蝶戀花事件後，考慮到工時，旅行社業者不載遊客去高山了，但國家歌劇院反倒被盯上，成為一日遊熱門景點。

台中國家歌劇院外停滿將近10台遊覽車，但全部都是違規臨停，且一停就是1到2個小時。每到假日，上百名團客總會同時湧進歌劇院內，在領隊大聲公的帶領下，好奇地東看看西看看，有時還會興奮到話愈講愈大聲，光是上廁所或搭電梯，就常常把動線擠得水洩不通，但這些團客卻沒任何一人是來看戲的。

對此，台中國家歌劇院公關吳麗珠幽默地回應：「我覺得他們一點都不吵，是因為在歌劇院本身就是一個美聲函洞，所以它的共鳴真的非常地好」。據了解，歌劇院之所以成為一日遊熱門景點，主要是因為建築新，且八成遊客全都沒來過，不但路好走，開車也相當安全。
至於遊覽車違停問題，業者則無奈地說，別怪遊覽車亂停，因為附近根本沒有設置大型車停車場，也「沒有一個配套或規畫，周邊一些車輛動線，你說不能停沒關係，那最起碼要有一個動線吧」抱怨台中歌劇院周遭規劃不佳。
如今歌劇院內部人擠人，不只團客結束行程後，抱怨「人超多，品質太糟糕」，還有民眾深覺歌劇院淪陷後，簡直跟菜市場沒有兩樣，但也有人樂見其成，覺得歌劇院行銷成功，究竟成為一日遊景點究竟是好是壞，最後也只能見仁見智。
